Wind Towers

These are just a few of the Wind Towers along I 84 as we were heading to Idaho. These are in Oregon. I have been along side each of the parts as they have been parked in a rest area and they are massive as individual parts, put them all together and WOW, they are huge.

I like the idea of using the wind, the sad part is when we have been on the Oregon side and you look across the Columbia River to Washington, they are blanketing the tops of the beautiful mountain tops. So sad to take away from the beauty.

Anyway here's a few pics taken as we were driving by.

It's been a while since

I have done any posting. Guess it is time to play a little catch up. Here is a few pics from this summer. Mollie was given a bow set by her Uncle. Grandpa took her out to show her how to use it. It was so much fun watching her shoot arrows. Even her baby brother, Michael had to give it a try.

Fair Results

I did it!! I can't believe I actually entered 10 entries and recieved 10 Blue Ribbons. It was a lot of fun doing this for my first time. I am already making plans for next yrs Fair. I have a big goal and that is to get a Bedspread or Tablecloth done.

You can see the bedspread I am working on here I will try to update how far along I am on the bedspread. Right now I have 1 square done. I have 3 Roses done. I am going to make the Roses different colors instead of all one color. It will be more like a Rose Garden then.

Hope you enjoy my entries.

The Cradle Purse patterns used were Blueberries and Raspberry Clouds and are available in my Etsy Store

I found the little dress for the doll online at Etsy and have fell in love with making doll cloths so I will be trying my hand at that also.

Life is good

Life is really good. It's also tiring getting use to having the grandbabies around, LOL!!

It's been over a week now that my daughter, her hubby and the 2 kids arrived back here at home after she has had to live in Norfolk, VA for over 5 yrs. I am having a blast with Mollie and Michael being so close.

I have been working busily trying to get my crochet stuff done and ready for the upcoming Fair. This is the first time I will be entering stuff so it's real exciting.

Life is also good with now having all my kids close. Soon, Melissa will be done with the Navy. Both of my kids will be Navy Vet's as well as my Son in Law. I am very ready to be a Navymomvet now. It has been a long 8 yrs with the 2 of them.

Grrrr....Don't buy a 1999 Dodge Durango

If you are considering buying a Dodge Durango, do some research, they are a piece of garbage or atleast thier transmission is. My son has one and has the problem of shifting from 2nd to 3rd, goes from abt 1800 rpms and jumps to 4000 rpms before slamming into 3rd. He has taken it back to the dealer, they supposedly replaced gaskets, it was fine for a while now it's doing it again, he has had it to the local Dodge Dealer and instead of knowing what the problem is or trying to find it they have come up with a bunch of other problems with the vehicle in the last 2 trips there, oh they did put the UV dye in the transmission to check for leaks. Well he took it to an independant shop and they took a look at the stuff that Dodge was saying was wrong and low and behold very little was wrong and still has several more miles before having to have work done.

In the mean time I did a google on 1999 Dodge Durango Transmission Problems and found there seems to be some issues with certain parts. Monday he is taking it to a Transmission place and see if they can find the problem.

It's funny, he added an independant extended 2 yr warranty to the vehicle when he bought it from a non Dodge Dealer and all the stuff that Dodge Dealer is now saying needs fixed isn't included in the warranty, yet the transmission has a serious problem and would be covered under warranty and no one so far can "find the problem"

Interior and looks of the Durango are great, I love it but mechanically as far as I'm concerned it sucks, just like the last Ford we owned

Boy do I love my KIA

Another Cradle Purse

I finally got another Cradle Purse done and up for sale. I started this one last yr and had it tested by members on Crochetville I just never finished editing the pattern for errors until recently.
Blueberries is my newest addition and you can find the pattern here along with more pictures.
I hope you stop by and have a look

I am beat

Boy was the weekend busy, we worked on weeding out the gardens and getting bark dust spread around. It sure looks a lot better with the fresh coat of bark dust. Hopefully I can get some pics up soon. Sure takes a lot of work getting the yard whipped into shape from sitting all winter long.

The daffodils are sure blooming and they are so pretty.
